Sunday Thoughts

Over the weekend, my mom and I hosted a fundraiser. We are raising money for a Homeschool Resource Center that some people are putting together.

It spanned over two days—Friday and Saturday. On Friday it went from 4-8, Saturday was 10-2.

We got to the church on Friday, set up the stuff we were selling, and waited.
Two hours passed, and we hadn’t seen a single soul. “Where was everyone?” we wondered.

Well, we amused ourselves as best we could. I had brought plenty of things to do; books, writing, etc.

7:30 came, and we began packing up, then left 15 minutes later. We joked about how it would be funny “if someone came at the last minute.”

Well, at 7:54, my mom got a text from a friend, asking, “Are you still there?”

We both huffed, sighed, and laughed.

Saturday went better. No one came for the first couple of hours, but then we got a total of three people! And those three people were who we were raising the money for. 😔

We learned a lot from this experience, but it went well overall.

No matter what happens, keep pushing through!

My question for You: Have you ever had a disappointing event?

I am a young girl in my teen years, pushing through life with the help and encouragement of my family and friends. But more than that, the Lord God is before me creating a path for me to follow. This blog shows my struggles and victories in life, the things I love or dislike. I hope you enjoy browsing through my blog. Before you leave, I hope you understand more fully how much the Lord Almighty means to me.
